Getting To and Around Georgia

Getting to Georgia is quite easy, and from Madrid we usually fly with Qatar Airways, which is a very comfortable option with great connections. I am excited to offer our readers a direct 5% off their Qatar Airways booking! Once you arrive, most travelers land in Tbilisi, and from there it’s easy to explore the country.

Renting a car is a great option if you want flexibility, especially for visiting the countryside and mountains, but you can also get around using private drivers, trains, or marshrutkas (local minibuses).

Georgia is a place where part of the experience is the journey itself, so take your time and enjoy the landscapes along the way.

List of the Most UNIQUE Hotels in Georgia

Unique Hotels in Tbilisi

1. Stamba Hotel

Tbilisi, Georgia
From 250€/night, 1-3 pax

Oversized windows, replicas of those which once featured on the faƧade, flood the space with natural light. Well-appointed features such as super king size beds and 19th century-inspired free-standing brass bathtubs and showers ensure comfort and style with the deep red artisan tiles.

An amphitheatre is crowned by a decorative voltage tower from the 1970s, a beautiful library shot through with nostalgic references to the roaring ’20s and glamorous ’30s, the first urban vertical farming project in the region and a delicious coffee shop.

At Stamba Hotel original features have been imaginatively restored, contributing to the hotel’s overarching sensorial experience, which in turn offers an expressive journey through both the vintage and the modern. Definitely one of the most unique hotels in Georgia!

Breakfast is one of those long, generous ones you actually look forward to. Just one of those unique hotels in Georgia that makes you feel really taken care of!

Other Things to Know before visiting Georgia

Best Time of Year to Visit Georgia

The best time to visit Georgia in my opinion is in spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October), when the weather is warm, the landscapes are beautiful, and it’s perfect for exploring both cities and the countryside.

Summer is also a great time, especially if you’re heading to the mountains for cooler temperatures, while winter is ideal if you’re interested in skiing. Overall, spring and autumn offer the best balance of pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and that magical atmosphere Georgia is known for.

Top Things to Do in Georgia

There are so many incredible things to do in Georgia, from exploring the charming streets of Tbilisi to discovering ancient monasteries, dramatic mountain landscapes, and hidden villages.

You can go wine tasting in Kakheti, drive along the stunning Georgian Military Highway, hike in the Caucasus Mountains, or simply enjoy long meals filled with traditional dishes and local wine!

Traveling around Europe and Final Thoughts

Traveling around Europe (and beyond) is always such a special experience, with every destination offering something completely different.

After exploring Georgia, you can easily continue your journey to places like Greece for island life and culture, Italy or France for food, history, and beautiful landscapes, or even head a bit further to Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, or Doha for something completely different.

Everything is relatively well connected, making it easy to combine destinations and create a trip that feels diverse and unforgettable.
