How to Get to Parc Astérix from Paris
Parc Astérix is about a 40-minute drive from Paris via the A1 highway. You can also take a shuttle bus from the Carrousel du Louvre or hop on the RER B train to Charles de Gaulle Airport, where a park shuttle will pick you up. Easy and perfect for families traveling with teenagers! My personal recommendation is to take the shuttle bus. I think it's the easiest way to get there! Getting to Disneyland Paris is super easy. It's just a 40-minute RER A train ride from the center of Paris, and there are also shuttle buses and car rental options if you prefer. Once you arrive, the first thing you’ll see is the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle — the perfect start to a magical day!

Parks to Explore in Disneyland Paris:
Disneyland Paris is actually two parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Start at Disneyland Park with classics like Pirates of the Caribbean, Dumbo, and Space Mountain: Mission 2. Then head over to Walt Disney Studios to try the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and the super fun Ratatouille: The Adventure ride!

One of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to explore Paris with teenagers is by using the Big Bus Hop-On Hop-Off Tour. We’ve done it ourselves a couple of times, and it's such a fun and relaxed way to see the city without getting too tired!
🚎 How it works: You hop on one of the open-top buses and ride past all the major attractions like the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum, and the Champs-Élysées. You can get off wherever you want, explore a bit, and then hop back on the next bus. It's super flexible and a lifesaver if you're visiting Paris for a short time or don't want to walk endless hours with teens.
📍 Personal Tip: One of my favorite moments was hopping off at the Eiffel Tower stop. Fun fact: years ago, we even found an ice skating rink on the first floor during the wintertime! It was a magical and unforgettable experience — very romantic too! I believe it stopped around 2016, but if you visit during winter, definitely ask — you never know!

After a fun day of sightseeing, one of the best things to do in Paris in the evening is to take a relaxing Seine River Cruise. We loved this part of our day — it was such a beautiful and peaceful way to end our Paris adventure!
🚤 The experience: You can board from several convenient locations and glide down the Seine, passing by famous sites like the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, and the Île de la Cité, all beautifully lit up at sunset or nighttime.

Giverny is just 80 km (50 miles) northwest of Paris. The easiest way to get there is by train:
Take the train from Paris Saint-Lazare to Vernon (approx. 45–50 minutes).
From Vernon, hop on a shuttle bus, taxi, or rent bikes for a beautiful ride through the countryside straight into Giverny.
This combo makes the day feel like a mini adventure — city, train, countryside, gardens… all in one!

The main attraction is Monet’s House and Gardens, and trust me — they’re magical.
Wander through the flower gardens and the water lily pond you’ve seen in so many paintings.

Winter (December to February): Winter in Paris can be cold, but it's also the time for festive decorations, Christmas markets, and fewer crowds. If you don't mind the chilly weather, you can enjoy Parisian charm without the hustle and bustle of peak season.
