15 Authentic Boutique Hotels in Seville

Discover 15 of the most authentic boutique hotels in Seville, Spain, from charming historic stays to stylish hotels full of Andalusian character and soul.

I’m from Madrid, but I’ve always had a real love for Andalusia, and Seville is one of those cities I never get tired of returning to. I’ve been countless times and have experienced the city in every season, from warm summer days to crisp autumn evenings. My favorite times to visit are spring and autumn, when the temperatures are perfect for walking around, sitting down for a long meal, and simply enjoying the rhythm of the city.

What I love most about Seville is how easy it is to experience it on foot. The food is incredible too, the people are welcoming, and there’s something about the pace of life here that always makes me want to stay a little longer. Maybe it is because I am used to a bigger and busier city!

And if you’re visiting in summer, you may also want to check out my guide to 10 unique hotels with pools in Seville, having somewhere to cool off can make all the difference when temperatures rise.

For this guide, I’ve focused on the boutique hotels I’d genuinely recommend to someone who wants more than just a convenient place to sleep. I’m looking for properties with personality, history, beautiful architecture, thoughtful details, and that unmistakable Andalusian feeling. From centuries-old palacios and intimate courtyard houses to stylish stays filled with azulejos, Moorish details, and local character, these are places that feel connected to Seville rather than interchangeable with hotels anywhere else.

Seville is truly one of my favorite cities in Spain, and I hope this guide helps you find a stay that feels authentic and special, somewhere that makes you feel a little bit at home, but in Spain.

Getting to and Around Seville

How to Get to Seville, Spain

Seville is well-connected by various modes of transportation:

  • By Air: San Pablo Airport (SVQ) serves numerous international and domestic flights. From Madrid, direct flights take about an hour. If you prefer flying to Madrid or Seville we recommend using Iberia, Iberia Express and Vueling!
  • By Train: The AVE high-speed train from Madrid’s Atocha Station reaches Seville’s Santa Justa Station in approximately 2.5 hours. It’s very comfortable!
  • By Bus: Several bus companies operate routes from major Spanish cities to Seville, though travel times are longer compared to trains. I usually purchase my bus tickets here.
  • Private Transfer: If you prefer to get to Seville by private transfer from another city in Andalusia, I usually use this company.
  • By Car: Driving from Madrid to Seville takes around 5-6 hours via the A-5 and A-66 highways. The roads are well-maintained, and the journey offers picturesque views of the Spanish countryside. More information on renting a car in Seville in the next section.
𑁍 Irene’s Tip: For the best experience, travel to Seville by train from Madrid or Córdoba, or rent a car if you’re continuing a longer Andalusian road trip. Check out our Southern Spain Itinerary 10 days blog post with maps and itineraries.

Renting a Car in Seville, Spain

While Seville’s city center is best explored on foot due to its narrow streets and pedestrian zones, renting a car can be advantageous if you plan to visit nearby attractions. However, be mindful of parking restrictions and consider using public parking facilities. We use them when we come from Madrid by car.

For a day trip, destinations like Carmona or the Roman ruins of Italica are within a short drive and offer enriching experiences. If you are road tripping around Andalusia, make sure you check out our Southern Spain Itinerary 10 days blog post with maps and itineraries.

Best Time of year to Visit the Most Authentic Boutique hotels in Seville

Seville is beautiful year-round, but spring and autumn are definitely my favorite times to visit.

In spring, the city is full of orange blossoms, sunny days, and that wonderful atmosphere you get during Semana Santa and Feria de Abril. Autumn is also lovely, with warm, comfortable temperatures and sometimes fewer crowds, making it perfect for wandering around the city and sitting outside for long lunches!

Summer can be extremely hot, with temperatures often going well above 35°C (95°F), although having a beautiful hotel in Seville with a pool definitely makes those hot days much more enjoyable!

And don’t completely rule out winter either. I’ve visited Seville in February and had around 20°C (68°F) and gorgeous sunny weather, so you can sometimes get incredibly lucky. And there is definitely less people around!

Best eSIM Option in Spain

As we are Spanish and live in Spain most of the year, we don’t need an eSim here, but when we travel we always use this eSIM because it’s the cheapest and easiest option.
