7 UNIQUE Adults Only Hotels in Lanzarote, Canary Islands

Getting to and Around Lanzarote, Spain

How to Get to Lanzarote, Spain

  • By Air: The easiest and fastest way to get to an adults-only hotel in Lanzarote is by plane. The island has its own airport which receives direct flights from Madrid, Mallorca, Ibiza or Barcelona, and many European cities. .

I usually fly with Iberia ExpressVueling, Volotea and Iberia. when coming from mainland Spain.

Once you land, you’re only about 10 minutes from Arrecife, the island’s capital, and well connected to the rest of the island’s beach towns and boutique hotels.

  • By Ferry: If you’re already in the Canary Islands, getting to Lanzarote by ferry is super easy too. There are regular crossings from Fuerteventura—Playa Blanca to Corralejo only takes around 30 minutes. You can also take longer ferry routes from Gran Canaria or Tenerife, which are great if you’re island-hopping or bringing a car or campervan.

Getting Around and Renting a Car in Lanzarote

Renting a car in Lanzarote is honestly the best way to experience everything you will find in this unique island: the dramatic volcanic landscapes, the remote beaches and the local wineries—all at your own pace.

Lanzarote is full of surprises: from the black sand beaches and the lunar vibes of Timanfaya National Park, to the whitewashed towns like Haría and the César Manrique architecture that pops up everywhere. These places are much easier (and way more fun) to reach with a car.

  • Conclusion: Driving in Lanzarote is easy—distances are short, roads are well maintained, and you’ll love the freedom to stop at every wild coastal spot or charming little town along the way. If you ask me, it’s the best way to explore Lanzarote!

I usually rent a car at the airport, and for discounts I recommend checking: OK mobility car rental (for a 10% off use this code: CJOKRAC). In Centauro I also offer our readers a 15% discount and this one is automatic, you don''t have to insert a code. If you prefer other companies, take a look at this site, powered by booking.com, to compare cheap car rentals.

𑁍 Best Time of year to Visit an Adults-Only hotel in Lanzarote, Spain

Lanzarote is one of those places you can visit pretty much year-round thanks to its warm, dry climate.

That said, my favorite time to stay in an adults-only hotel in Lanzarote is either spring (April to early June) or autumn (September to November).

These months are ideal: fewer crowds, pleasantly warm temperatures (but not too hot), and better hotel rates compared to the peak summer months. If you’re after relaxation, peace, and long beach days, this is when Lanzarote really shines.

Winter is also a great escape from the cold if you're coming from mainland Europe!

𑁍 Best eSIM Option for Reliable Data in Spain

As we are Spanish and live in Spain most of the year, we don't need an eSim here, but when we travel we always use this eSIM because it’s the cheapest and easiest option.

No SIM swapping, no stress—just instant connection when we arrive at the new country. It works great! If you're heading to Spain, we highly recommend trying it! Check it out here :)
